Take off before a formula board even gets high? Be sure, it is possible from now on. It is possible to transport this float in a car (minimum space requirement). This type of board will open up a whole new perspective of sailing. A new chapter of windfoiling is offered to you, just try this board to believe it. THE FOIL-X AT A GLANCE

    The new kid on the block: Foil X 125 is between 105 and 145, becoming an instant favorite of our R&D team. All three sizes have new cutouts that run down the rails to reduce tail volume for easier rider pop. The new mini carrying handle on the hull makes it easy to carry the board. New centered footstrap positions unlock freestyle and jumping capabilities.

What foils are recommended for the FOIL X?

    The Foil X is a compact foil board designed to sail with smaller, lighter sails (wave/freewave type). On the foil side, riders can choose between responsive and maneuverable foils like the Starboard Foil SuperCruiser or faster, high performance foils like the GT-R Plus. The SuperCruiser offers an early launch, impressive handling and powerful jibes. The GT-R offers higher top speeds and faster acceleration.

 
THE X105 FOIL: 185 × 64, 105 liters

    Our most maneuverable and playful board ever, both radical and surprisingly user-friendly. Fly effortlessly, leaving your sail neutral as you ride the swell. Ultra-compact, you will find this board incredibly stable. You'll be able to pull your sail up to the wake with ease thanks to its wide outline and super thick nose. The new 2021 model is 3 cm longer and 1 cm wider to add an extra touch of forgiveness.
    Combined with new deeper cut-outs, the X 105's extra-long flat top stimulates take-off. Landings and relaunches are effortless thanks to the large nose scoop.
    Recommended for riders up to 80 kg.

THE X 125 FOIL: 190x67cm, 125 liters

    Our intermediate board of the range. It combines an easy ride with more technical possibilities, offering the perfect match for a rider who wants to increase his foiling skills. The 67 cm width maintains stability before take off. The flat hull, steep rail cutouts and ultra-compact outline then allow you to get out of the water quickly and take off.
    The reduced volume and slimmer profile bring a new feeling of freedom when flying in the air. The rear middle footstrap allows jumps and your first 360s. The Freestyle is now accessible to intermediate level foilers.
    The new rear middle footstrap on the 105 and 125 make these boards more freestyle friendly and easier for beginner foilers. By keeping your back foot on the centerline and your front foot closer to the rail, it's easier to maintain control and keep the board from rolling from side to side.


THE FOIL X 145: 193x71cm, 145 liters

    With its compact silhouette, the X 145 is super maneuverable and responsive. Yet, with plenty of volume, even improving windsurfers who get off a GO will be ready for the X 145. The new rail cuts will help you take off in as little as 6 knots of wind, and the longer, more curved nose makes for a more forgiving landing. Powered by a sail between 3.7 m2 and 8.0 m2 and paired with Starboard Foil's SuperCruiser, you'll fly and float through foil gybes at speeds lower than you thought possible. Paired with Starboard Foil's GTR Plus, you'll unlock more speed, more acceleration for an exciting ride.
    As the wind picks up, from 15 to 25 knots or more, you'll be able to switch to smaller sails, say 3.0 to 4.7, and a whole new world opens up with a foil style that focuses on freedom of flight.
    The Foil X 105, FOIL X 125 and Foil X 145 are available in Wood Sandwich construction and the Foil X 125 and FOIL X 145 are also available in Starlite.

YULEX NEOPRENE

    Drake Slick footstraps are made with FSC-certified, sustainably sourced, plant-based Yulex foam. With 85% natural rubber, the CO² emitted during the manufacturing process is reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% of synthetic neoprene is retained to improve UV resistance.
