FOIL CARE GUIDE
Correct usage and proper care will extend the lifetime of your foil products and prevent failures. Apart from production defects, the most common reason for foil breakage is incorrect usage.
Here are a couple of tips on how to look after your foil and extend its lifetime.
FOIL ASSEMBLY
The foil is assembled using only two sizes of M8 bolts. All bolts are standard and can easily be found at a hardware store.
Do not leave your foil mounted for extended amounts of time. Loosen the screws and take the foil apart every now and then.
UV EXPOSURE AND HEAT
Always keep your foil protected from the sun when not in use. If left for too long under the sun, the colors of your foil could fade over time.
DAMAGE
Check your foil for dings and damage regularly. If the foil is damaged, then repair it before sailing on it.
RIGGING SURFACE AND HANDLING
Always try to set up your foil on a non-abrasive surface to protect your foil as much as possible.
STORAGE
Do not store the Redwing wings in the covers when not in use. Only use bags for transport purposes. Make sure both wings and covers are dry.
IMPACTS
Impact with sharp edges or with hard/abrasive surfaces might cause permanent damage to your foil or compromise its structural integrity.
